Belmar Family Medicine

About Us

about

Belmar Family Medicine is the practice of two physicians and one family nurse practitioner located in the Belmar Shopping Center in Lakewood, Colorado for your convenience. Belmar Family Medicine has been providing quality primary health care for adults and children of all ages in this community for over forty years. Here, in our new location, we look forward to continuing that same level of care as we add new services to meet the changing health care needs of our patients. The staff is specially trained and always willing to help. A warm and inviting environment is very important to us. Friendly faces are here to greet and assist you.

The office was designed and is evolving to help you feel more comfortable and at ease visiting the doctor. Earth tone colors are rich and inviting while the artwork is authentic and enticing. Lighting, a pleasant water feature, thriving plants and a coffee bar are intended to help you and your family feel more at home while visiting.

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Family Medicine is the primary care specialty that provides comprehensive and continuous care to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. We provide a full range of preventive services including well-child exams, well-woman exams, complete physical exams, sports, camp and DOT physicals. Included in these exams are appropriate laboratory testing, Pap testing, contraception counsel, vaccinations and arrangements for recommended screening tests such as mammograms and colonoscopies. We care for all chronic health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma and a wide range of mental health needs. We assist with the management of chronic pain and problems with tobacco use and alcohol. We manage acute health problems including colds, flu, other infections, lacerations, sprains and fractures. We provide a wide range of skin care including freezing therapy, surgical removal of skin lesions and medical treatments. In addition to this broad array of services, we are also trained to provide appropriate referral to other specialists.
